Match 5 Bonus
Whenever the Powerball jackpot reaches more than $25 million over the last jackpot record, it will increase in increments of $25 million (annuitized) per drawing until it is won. All cash in excess of each $25 million increment is added to the "Match 5 Bonus Pool."
When the record jackpot is won, any player who matches five white balls will receive the traditional $200,000 prize plus their share of the "Match 5 Bonus Pool". The "Match 5 Bonus Pool" is divided equally among all Match 5 winners. The Match 5 Bonus Prize is in addition to any Power Play prize that is won. The Match 5 Bonus Prize is not multiplied by the Power Play number.
If there are no Match 5 Bonus winners, the Bonus Prize will be divided equally among all winners of the Match 4 + Powerball ($10,000) prize. The Bonus Prize will be paid in one lump cash sum. | |
