Big Week for West Virginia Lottery Instant Game Winners

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Lottery players have had yet another big week of winning with two top instant game prizes being claimed this week at Lottery Headquarters in Charleston. West Virginia Lottery Director John C. Musgrave announced today that Amanda Berg of Weston has won $100,000 playing Cash and Cruises and Paula Rawlings of Poca has won $50,000 playing Bass Pro Shops® Outdoor Cash.

Berg, who works as a housekeeper, purchased her winning Cash and Cruises ticket at the Prima 711 #5607 on East 3rd St. in Weston.

“I could not believe it and I had to take it back into the store and ask the clerk if I was seeing this correctly,” Berg said. “I bought the ticket after I got off work on Friday and had to text it to my mom and boyfriend to prove it to them.”

Berg says she does not have any immediate plans for her prize money, however she may use it to buy a car and possibly take a nice vacation.

Rawlings, who enjoys bass fishing with her husband, purchased her winning Bass Pro Shops® Outdoor Cash ticket at the Speedway #9278 on Goff Mountain Rd. in Cross Lanes.

“I scratched the ticket off in my car at the Speedway, but it didn’t really set in until now, because nothing is for sure until it is,” Rawlings said. “I plan to buy some new carpet, a new vehicle and hang on to some of it.”

Bass Pro Shops® Outdoor Cash still has nine top prizes remaining. Cash and Cruises has five top prizes still in circulation.
