Hot Lotto Ticket Worth $30,000 Sold in Barboursville

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Someone who purchased a Hot Lotto ticket at Kroger #788 on Route 60 in Barboursville is getting a nice surprise just before Christmas. A ticket worth $30,000 that matched five numbers for Saturday’s Hot Lotto drawing was sold at the store.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, December 10, Hot Lotto drawing were 10, 14, 30, 35, 37 and the Hot Ball was 12. The lucky Barboursville ticket had all five white ball numbers correct and missed only the Hot Ball, thus just missing the jackpot of $2.45 million.

No one matched all six numbers for the December 10 drawing and the jackpot for Wednesday’s Hot Lotto drawing is now at $2.5 million.

Hot Lotto tickets cost only $1 and can be purchased at any West Virginia Lottery traditional retailer. Hot Lotto is a Multi-State Lottery game that is played in 14 states and the District of Columbia and players simply pick five white numbers from 1 to 47 and one HOT BALL number from 1 to 19 to play. Hot Lotto drawings are conducted every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET. Players can purchase the Sizzler option for an additional $1. The Sizzler automatically triples all non-jackpot prizes. The person who purchased the match 5 ticket in Barboursville would have a ticket worth $90,000 had they paid the extra $1 for the Sizzler.

Players are encouraged to check their tickets and the holder of this particular ticket should immediately sign the back of it and call the West Virginia Lottery at 304-558-0500 for instructions on how to claim.
