Lottery Day at the State Fair Set for August 18

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The State Fair of West Virginia is scheduled to begin on August 14 and run through August 23rd this year at the State Fairgrounds in Fairlea and the popular “Lottery Day” is set for Tuesday, August 18.

Each day throughout the State Fair (Lottery Sales and promotions are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at the Fair), lottery players have the opportunity to play Drop & Win with a qualifying lottery purchase of $10 at the Fair’s Lottery Building and to enter any non-winning instant tickets purchased at the Fair in a daily second-chance drawing where players can win hundreds of promotional lottery tickets. Lottery Day brings the added bonus of a full-size game board where lottery players can make a qualifying purchase for the chance to play a life-size game and win even more promotional tickets and the day ends with a Lottery sponsored concert by Country Music artist Easton Corbin.

Each year the State Fair of West Virginia becomes the largest Lottery retailer in the State in terms of total traditional lottery sales for its days of operation.
