Two Big Jackpots For the Final Days of 2015

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The jackpots for the popular Multi-State Lottery games of Powerball® and Mega Millions® are big in this last week of 2015 and they could grow to be even bigger entering 2016.

The largest of those jackpots continues to be in the Powerball® game, which is up to an estimated $300 million for Wednesday’s drawing after no one correctly picked Saturday’s winning numbers of 27, 40, 44, 59 and 65 with the Power Ball of 20. There have now been 15 drawings held since a lottery player in Tennessee won a $144.1 million jackpot on Nov. 4.

Powerball® tickets are $2 ($3 with the Powerplay option which increases non-jackpot winnings) and can be purchased at West Virginia Lottery retailers up until 9:59 p.m. on draw days. The Powerball drawing is conducted every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The Mega Millions® jackpot is now up to $117 million for Tuesday’s drawing, since no one correctly picked Friday’s winning numbers of 15, 25, 29, 44 and 51 with the Mega Ball of 4. There have now been 12 drawings held since a player in Ohio won a $200 million jackpot on Nov. 13.

Mega Millions® tickets are $1 ($2 with the Megaplier option which increases non-jackpot winnings) and can be purchased up until 9:59 p.m. on draw days. The Mega Millions drawing is conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m.
