CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Lottery Director John C. Musgrave announced today that Jennifer Feury of Marlinton has won $250,000 playing Mega Millions®.
She matched five numbers from the January 4, 2013, Mega Millions® drawing.
Feury, who works as a cook at a Marlinton eatery, bought the lucky ticket at the Fast Break on Rt. 219 North in Marlinton.
“Truthfully, it feels like it is not real,” Feury said. “When I found out, I was about to have a heart attack.”
Feury says she recently started playing the lottery and has played Mega Millions almost exclusively. She found out she had a big winner when she stopped for gas after leaving work on Saturday.
“I had no idea that I had won. I brought the ticket in to be scanned and the cashier told me it was a prize of more than $600 and congratulations,” Feury. “I checked it and went home to tell my husband.”
Feury, has two children ages nine and six, she said she plans to buy a new couch. She also wants to use the money to pay some bills and move to the country.
