Powerball & Mega Millions Jackpots Now Higher than $1 Billion Combined
January 5, 2018The official estimates for both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots have been increased, due to strong sales across all jurisdictions.
The Mega Millions jackpot estimate for the drawing to be held January 5, 2018, has been raised to $450 million; $281.2 million cash value.
The estimated Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, Jan. 6 drawing has been increased to $570 million; $358.5 million cash value.
“We are excited that our players have the opportunity to play for more than $1 Billion in jackpot prize money this week,” said Randy Burnside, West Virginia Lottery Public Relations Manager. “We are seeing strong sales for both the Mega Million and Powerball games across the State and would love to see another West Virginian win life-changing money.
